Description
The claws and the ears come first, then followed by the fur. Fingers elongate far beyond motor manipulation, and feet arch. Claws and membrane rip the clothing. While teeth sharpen and senses expand. Wings and muscle build and grow, and powerful jaws let out a great roar.
The roar is answered by myriad shrieks from the ancient towers. The bats left every bell tower, and darkened crevice. They took flight soaring around every flèche and spire and on into the night. The darkening night sky was dimmed by batwings, and accompanied by the chorus of vesper bats.
An earthbound soul held aloft on wings of skin, freedom, just for night, this All Hallow’s Eve.
