Mitch's Costume

The sun set finally, and silently creeping upstairs Mitch snuck off to his room, with his spoils. He closed the door behind him, smirking as he laid the box down on his bed. He touched the “runic” styled letters on the front of the lid and began to work at the plastic wrap, surrounding the box.
After some success with the wrap, he thought, “Well lets see what this thing looks like”.
He paid those 53 bucks and shipping and handling, then the website made him wait for three months in backordering. All that time in waiting came to a head when the black and red customized dragon suit came out of the box.
The fabric was soft, although it was synthetic the inside felt like wool, and the outside like sandpaper. The teen couldn’t contain his excitement any longer and threw the box on the ground, wrapping the suit around him. He had put the first arm in the suit, and then the first foot, when suddenly he noticed that it felt unusually warm. Disregarding it after a moment, he reached back for a mask or a hood to pull over his face, and found nothing.
Before Mitch could complain, something warm crawled under his shirt. He felt it move. And then he felt it disappear. He removed his shirt and tried to find what it was, but instead he only found the costume and his skin. Looking down, he could see where the skin stopped and where the costume began, but he had trouble feeling it. The trouble crescendoed as he saw the costume move over his skin. It quickly covered his chest to his surprise, and melded with his skin. The costume was merging with his body.
As he tried to pull the now slimy costume off of his chest, he felt it move up his neck and over his head. It moved down his face reshaping it into a form he couldn’t recognize. It covered his eyes, forcing them shut, and his nose. It pulled his nose forward and soon he could no longer distinguish it from his mouth, his upper and lower jaws were beset by searing pain, as he force his eyes open in shock.
His arms and legs reflected his head now covered, each being covered by a new section of costume. It adhered itself to his feet, fusing his toes to three digits, and into claws. The same happened to his hands, fused into four fingered claws. The strange feeling from the beginning culminated in the sudden growth of wings, which he had not noticed from the costume earlier, and the tail, now sporting spikes and a tail fin.
He continued to fight with it, until every last bit of skin covered, and his body grew. . The costume now had crusted over in hard reptilian scales, his eyes blazing red and ophidian, opened for the first time as a full dragon. The clothes that he wore when human were destroyed by the searing nature of the costume- or rather his new skin. They lay in tatters about his feet. Mitch smiled a wicked toothy smile; this was just what he always wanted. He felt something new inside him; something powerful and it wanted him to leave this human home. His tail swooshed, and as the strength filled his wings Mitch roared.
Spreading those wings, he found now at their full wings span, he could fly. Levitating by their power he drifted towards the window and after kicking it open with his clawed foot, he shot out into the night. Obviously they best 53 Bucks a guy could spend. The night was his, and whether or not he could return to normal, didn’t seem to faze Mitch at all.
