Physical description: Harmakhis is average height for aside from being an extremely rare creature. He has shaggy dark hair, unusual for his homeland, and bright green eyes. He has a human face, save for a feline nose, but the rest of his body is covered in golden-brown fur. His hands are clawed, and the palms and undersides of his fingers have paw-pads that provide better resistance to the elements and greater grip. His feet are four-toed and also bear feline paw pads, and he has a long lion’s tail. His chest is always bare, but he wears a beaded collar around his neck. His gauntlets consist of plates wrapped in linen, and he wears armlets on his upper arms. His legs are clad in white linen kilt, over dyed green pants (a human garment), and his feet are similarly wrapped as his hands.

Personality: Brave, determined and loyal, he lives by a certain set of rules, which he values extremely high. He becomes hotheaded in battle and when backed into a corner, and pressure causes him to react unpredictably. He has a profound ideal of what he believes is right, and he will fight for it. He is somewhat vexed knowing he is the only one of his kind, and as he has never had a true home he is a wanderer.

History: A raid on his village by a southern clan of monsters left him orphaned at two years, and the Koptos Orphanage raised him. He was given the name Harmakhis as his green eyes reminded a local official of the Sphinx god. He eventually took up hunting as his profession, and after helping in more than one local defense from marauders he became a ranger and learned more effective combat techniques.

As he neared majority, he rescued Mabheb’s prince from a vampire who broke in on the young prince while praying at his namesake’s temple. He doused the beast with holy oil from the altar, and then staked him with a silver staff that lay nearby. According to the prince, after the beast died, a golden light burst in through the clerestory above and bathing his rescuer in gold, proving he was divinely sent to purify the lands of the scourge.
Regarded as savior, the royal family charged him with a perilous task that their security and religious inquisitors had struggled with. A new cult, promoting a Single God Aten, alien to both the major religions of the state, which was attracting followers at an unnatural and alarming rate. Iconoclasm in churches and Temples was becoming a daily issue, and people were disappearing, especially women. Undead activity, which had been unknown prior, had become a serious issue, and a moroii vampire inside the Sphinx god’s temple was proof that something was seriously amiss.

Harmakhis in the midst struggling to understand his mission and new form, rose to meet the challenge that brought him face to face with powerful enemies within the cult. After finding and killing the Cult of the Sun disk’s leader he found he was only at the beginning of his search, and it was to send him all over the continent, through the farmland to the swamps, where he was to meet the architect of the spread of undeath, and the mastermind of the cult, a powerful Vampire lord by the name of Dimitri Khons.

Relations: Orphaned in a massacre of his village.

Power/ Forms: No seperate forms, and other than speed and agility he has no other powers.

Weapons: The Sun God’s bow: He carries a long bow designed for powerful long-distance attacks. He carries a quiver of arrows with black cedar shafts, durable and available. At his belt he carries a vial of poison used to inflict serious wounds on enemies, when applied to his arrows. Two Kopesh: Harmakhis makes use of two small sickle-shaped blades. It is a lightweight blade that can slice through most natural substances and is used only for close combat.

For his fifth incarnation, behold, my only ranged character ever. I went back to older notes with his character, I know parents dead is a cliché ^^and my tfed characters are getting old, but that’s the theme in Helios. Transformation sets you apart from your race, and in the eyes of the character’s enemies this makes you weaker, and unable to unite.^^ Removed.

Eventually he makes his way down to Zederza and becomes part of Anubis’ team when they hunt down the Dark Nobles that are trying to destroy the continent of Phateon. His last name was silly so I threw it out, he is not royal, and he does not have any magic power either. I’m proud of this redesign and I think the archer feel is right for him.

I stuck with the Egyptian conception of this creature as per usual, he is male and wingless.And of all my characters he has the best knack for finding p ose-worthy rocks to stand on.

The visible statues are Sekhmet and Ra.
