A Lost Catfish 1

Runnin’ around barefoot in the swamps, Ryan runs past cypress groves and fields of cattails. Remembering sink holes, and deep spots, he’s careful not to piss off the denizens of the swamps and keeps to himself, looking for new areas to explore. Venturing further in the swamp than he ever did previously, he quickly got turned around, and wandered aimlessly through the bog. As he stops for a break, his eyes travel to a strangely covered piece of fabric sitting on a rock above the swamp-water level.

On inspection, he comes to recognize the face and the items with it- it’s a voodoo doll. Trying to balance himself, on the rock, he slipped, and with a tug, a strand of his hair got-clean yanked out. As he finally establishes himself on the rock securely, He notices that a piece of his hair got caught around a pin stuck in the thing’s chest. He picks it up, and after trying to remove the pin it starts to make a bizarre noise.

Alarmed, he drops the doll into the shallow water, where it fades from view.
